Still Love Me?
Still Love Me?
Do you ever wonder if you are loved? Do you struggle to believe that God loves you - with all your mistakes, faults, and struggles? Many of us do. We question, how God can know all the dirt in my broken heart and still love me? But He does. He loves you with an everlasting, unconditional love that will rock your world. His love for you – it is hooge!
Hooge! I love that word. When my son was small he had difficulty saying the word huge. Instead, he would pronounce it hooge. It was so sweet, I just could not bring myself to correct him. He would be excited and would proclaim, “That truck is hooge, Momma! It is hooge!” Those memories are so clear. He loved to be outside and the sun had his blonde hair so light it was almost white, especially next to his tan skin. Still today, as I look at my grown and married son, I feel this enormous love for him. I do not see the times he disobeyed, the mistakes he made or the struggles he endured. I just see the incredible man he has become – the man his struggles grew him to become - and my heart is full. The love I have for him and for all my children is hooge! It really is bigger than I can describe. Colby would tell you that he knows I love him. He has never asked, “Still love me?” He knows he is loved.
God is love. The Bible tells us over and over that He is love and that He loves us. Can you imagine how BIG His love is for us? When I look at my children my heart feels so full it could burst. If my love is that big, then His love for you is HOOGE! It is Hooge, so Hooge! It is far greater than our capacity to love others. He does not look at you and see your disobedience, your mistakes or your struggles. He looks at you and He sees the person you have become – the person your struggle grew you to become. He looks at you and His heart is full. He wants you to know today that you are loved. He does not want you to question – “Still love me?”. He wants you to proclaim, “I am loved!”
As I sit here with God’s Word in my hands…His revelation of who He is; His promises to be fulfilled; His love that is bigger than we can comprehend…I realize His love for us is – sorry, I can’t help but say it – His love is HOOGE!
Today and every day we need to remember the enormity of our gift our gracious Heavenly Father has offered to us. We need to remember it is worthy of our excitement! It is so big – how can we not joyously proclaim it to the world?

God loves me so. He loves me so much and He desires for me to love Him in return. He is available to me. He wants me. His love is completely and totally unconditional.
Jesus – God’s only begotten son – came, lived, served, and died for me so that I might spend eternity with Him. He chose to bear my sin, to pay my debt. He died for me.
The Holy Spirit is with me. He lives inside of me and He is my helper. He is the only hope I have to keep from totally messing up my life. He whispers and prompts me. The more time I spend in God’s word the better I can hear these promptings.
God created me with a purpose. I am not a mistake. His plan is best. His way is best. He has placed within me gifts and talents that He desires to use for His glory. All I have to do is say, “Yes!”
I can trust Him! He is mine and I am His. I am His beloved, His Masterpiece, His child. I can trust Him – with my life, with my fears, with my day, with my future, with everything!
No need to ever ask God again, “Still love me?” Because we know the answer. The answer is YES! Know that you are loved with an everlasting love. Rest in that love. Walk in that love. Live out that love. I am praying that you feel God’s love today.
“Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling aroma.”
