No Matter What

No Matter What…

Today I am filled with emotion.  I am running the full gamut of them.  On one end of the spectrum, I am full of joy and happiness because my son is getting married this weekend.  I am thrilled for him and rejoicing that God has blessed him with a sweet angel who loves him as much as I do.  I must admit - there is a little tugging at the heartstrings going on because my baby – who should still be 12 – is all grown up and getting married!  WHAT?  How did that happen?

Then at the other end of the emotional spectrum – I am sad.  I had a friend post a picture of me and a precious girl named LaKeesha on Facebook.  I immediately thought, “Oh I miss her!!  We should get together for lunch SOON!”  But I later realized the pictures were being posted because LaKeesha, who was only 36, passed away suddenly Friday night – leaving behind her husband, young children, parents and siblings.  It is just heartbreaking and makes me so sad.  How I wish I had made time for that lunch date long ago.

Then there are all sorts of other emotions that come along with this life we are all striving to thrive through.  We experience hurt feelings, anxiety, frustrations, stress, disappointment and every other kind of emotion we can muster up.  We have great days and we have hard difficult days.  We have times when we feel loved and cherished and valued.  And then there are those days we feel all alone.

But here is what I know that I know…

No Matter What…Jesus has me.  I am His and He is mine!  I am His child and can curl up in His lap whenever I need. (I John 3:1)

No Matter What…I can and will rejoice in the Lord always. Yes! I will rejoice!! (Philippians 4:4)

No Matter What…I can TRUST in Him!  (Proverbs 3:5-6)

No Matter What…I am NEVER alone. (Deuteronomy 31:8)

No Matter What…I can proclaim Psalm 30:11-12

“You have turned for me my mourning into dancing.  You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness, to the end that my glory may sing praise to You and not be silent.  O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.”

So, my sweet friends… wherever you are today - whatever you may be feeling – whether you are rejoicing and celebrating – or crying and struggling – there is hope in Him.

Romans 15:13 “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

And all God’s people said… Amen!

Love and hugs to you!
