Choose to Celebrate
Choose to Celebrate
We are just days away from Christmas day. There are so many distractions and difficult situations that can steal our joy and cause us to miss the celebration. We truly have a choice. We can focus on who and what we do not have in our life - or we can choose to embrace the greatest gift ever given! We can choose to celebrate!
What should we celebrate?
We can choose to celebrate God's amazing love for us. He loved us so much that He sent His son to be the perfect sacrifice for our sins. He loved us before we loved Him. We certainly do not deserve it - but His love is ours if we will accept it.
We can choose to celebrate the birth of our Savior. Jesus is our Hope. Because of Him - we have the hope of salvation. If you have accepted Him as your Savior - then we need to be celebrating His birth, life, death and resurrection! Because of what He has done - we will spend eternity in Heaven with Him.
We can choose to celebrate the Joy that can be ours when we place Jesus first in our lives. I know that New Year's is when we usually plan to do things in a better way - but why not today? We can choose to celebrate by allowing Jesus to be our best friend and returning the favor by spending a lot of time with Him.
We can choose to celebrate the sweet peace that the world will never know. God has given us the gift of peace when we choose to truly trust in Him.
No matter our circumstances - we are rich and blessed beyond measure - once we accept the greatest gift ever given.
Choose to celebrate! Celebrating Christmas means rejoicing for Who and What was given to us on that first Christmas morn!
"Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you: you will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manager." And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!" Luke 2:10-14
Merry Christmas!
