For Such a Time as This

Here we are, living in the craziest of times. What are we to do? Maybe, we are here as Esther 4:14 says, “for such a time as this”.  For you see, it is in these times where we demonstrate if we will be full of fear or full of faith. Will we place our trust in the news media and hang on every word they say, or will we place our trust in God and get into His word? Are we worriers or are we prayer warriors?

Maybe you were created for such a time as this… a time when you can lead by example; a time when you can be a light in a dark world; and a time when you can inspire others to trust Jesus.

Maybe you were created for such a time as this where your children and grandchildren can see that there is nothing more important to you than your relationship with Jesus; where they can witness you spend time with Him; and where you will share your love for the Lord with them by telling stories of what He has done in your life.

Maybe you were created for such a time as this… a time where your intimacy with Jesus will grow; your burden to share Him will deepen; and your passion to pursue your purpose will intensify.

Maybe you were created for such a time as this where we can show love to one another; esteem others better than ourselves; and serve others with kindness making sure they have what they need.

Surely, during this crazy time God will fulfill His promise that “all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28) May God use this time to draw you close; reconnect you to Him and those you love; and to remind you who is in control.

So today – can we thank God for His faithfulness? Can we surrender our all to Him and rest in His promises? Can we ask Him to reveal His plan for us during this time? Ask Him what He would have you to do, to say, and to become in the weeks ahead.

If you need a little inspiration to get you moving in the right direction, why not start by praising and worshiping our God? Raise your hands and sing out loud. Click this link and sing along to this amazing song…

I searched the world

But it couldn’t fill me

Man’s empty praise

and treasures that fade

Are never enough

Then You came along

And put me back together

And every desire is now satisfied

Here in Your love

Oh, there’s nothing better than You

There’s nothing better than You

Lord there’s nothing,

nothing is better than You

I’m not afraid

To show You my weakness

My failures and flaws Lord

You’ve seen them all

And You still call me friend

‘Cause the God of the mountain

Is the God of the valley

There’s not a place

Your mercy and grace

Won’t find me again

You turn mourning to dancing

You give beauty for ashes

You turn shame into glory

You’re the only one who can

You turn graves into gardens

You turn bones into armies

You turn seas into highways

You’re the only one who can

You’re the only one who can
