His Presence, PROVISION and Promises – Part 2

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (400 x 400 px).png

Last week, we discussed how we can experience God’s presence. What a glorious privilege that is! We listed 4 steps to take if you don’t know how to bring yourself to a place to experience Him. If you missed it, go back to the blog and read last week’s post.

As daughters of the King, we are recipients of God's PROVISION. Stop and think about that. He will supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. We read that in His word in Philippians 4:19, so we can rest assured that it is true.

Scripture tells us that if He feeds the birds, how much more will He do for us? He says every good and perfect gift is from above and we have received so many. In Matthew 6:31-33 Jesus tells us, "Therefore, do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?' For after all, these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."

We believe this to be true, yet still we struggle. We worry and wonder if God will show up to provide for us. The problem is we want Him to supply our wants, not just our needs. But… here is the catch – He supplies what is spiritually best for us. Have you ever asked Him to give you what is spiritually best for you?

Fruits and veggies are good for us – but we want Tacos.

Trials teach us we can trust in God – but we want an easy life.

Difficult people teach us to love unconditionally – but we want only kind people in our life.

We have enough money to pay our bills – but we want enough to cover our wants.

We have dozens of precious relationships in our life – but we want the one we think will complete us – yet only Jesus can do that.

We long for a soul mate – but only Jesus can truly be our soul mate.

Let today be the day we stop worrying and instead start trusting in our Heavenly Father. His provision for us is abundant. As we put Jesus first in our life and grow in intimacy with Him, we have an abundance of peace, comfort, faith, love, grace, patience, self-control and all the things we need. He is where we find our strength, our courage and our joy.
